Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Farmer Rizwankhan Pathan spotted a leopard while watering his maize crop in Gut No. 34 at Andhari village on Friday night around 10 pm. The startled farmer quickly fled the scene. Leopard movement has increased in the area due to the Andhari Medium Project, with sightings also reported in Anad and Mukpat villages. Since rabi crops require nighttime watering, farmers are forced into fields after dark, raising serious safety concerns. Several livestock have already been killed by leopards, creating widespread fear. Locals are demanding the forest department immediately capture the leopard.
