Chhatrapati Sambhajinaga: The three-day ‘Lex Fiesta National Law Fest’ organised by the School of Legal Studies and Research of MGM University was inaugurated at the Moot Court Hall in the presence of dignitaries on Saturday.

Former director of Symbiosis International University Dr M I Baig, Vice Chancellor of MGM University Dr Vilas Sapkal, Registrar Dr Ashish Gadekar, director of the school Dr Zartab Ansari, professors, students and all concerned were present.

Speaking at the event, Dr M I Beg said today while studying law, it is also important for students to keep in mind that there are about 5 crore cases pending in our country.

“Working as a part of this system, we should also think about what we can do to reduce these pending cases. As a lawyer, while working, we should go among the people because we are an important element for the society,” he said.

He said that there are numerous employment opportunities available to students in the field of law as there is a need for legal practitioners in every field. Saad Jalil conducted the proceedings of the programme while adv Rina Mandhani proposed a vote of thanks.
