Aurangabad, March 20: Corona infection is on the rise in nine tehsils of the district. Therefore, Zilla Parishad chief executive officer Dr Mangesh Gondawale has appointed liaison officers in nine tehsils for proper coordination of corona prevention measures in tehsils. Additional CEO Santosh Kavade said that the officials would visit the designated tehsils on Sunday to take stock of the situation.

The officials will be responsible for tracking people in contact with the covid positive patient, take swabs for the test. Arrange an ambulance to take the patient to the hospital, visit the marriage halls, coaching classes, all the schools, colleges, hotels, places of worship, parks from time to time and issuing notices to those violating the restrictions. Inspect vegetable markets, shops at regular intervals. Hold a meeting with doctors from the private hospital and coordinate with local authorities to diagnose people with symptoms. Ensure proper arrangements in covid centres, hospital and check equipment. Keep an eye on the supply of meals, electricity and water regularly. Attention should be paid to the availability of necessary medicines and safety equipment. Gondawale has also assigned these officers to coordinate with the circle officers of the revenue department, Talathi, Police Patil, Gram Sevak and liaison officer of Panchayat Samiti.

Gangapur Suraj Prasad Jaiswal, Paithan Dr B B Chavan, Vaijapur Anand Ganjewar, Phulambri Prasad Mirkale, Kannad B D Patil, Aurangabad S M Bub, Khultabad Dr Sunil Bhokare, Soygaon Dr Ratnakar Pedgaonkar and Sillod Shivraj Kendra have been appointed as tehsil liaison officer. The appointed officers will be visiting the tehsils on Sunday and will submit a report to the CEO
