Aurangabad, April 19: The Lions Club International District 3234 H 2 fourth District Convention Anveshan concluded in enthusiasm. The convention was held online due to the Corona crisis. Governor CA Vivek Abhyankar presided over while International Director Dr Naval Malu inaugurated the convention.

International Vice-president Douglus Alexzender (America), former International director J P Singh (Kolkatta), Pravin Chajed (Ahmedabad), Narendra Bhandari (Pune), Aruna Oswal (Mumbai), Multiple Council Chairperson Girish Malpani, vice Governor Dilip Modi, Purushottam Jaipuriya, district secretary Rahul Ausekar, treasurer Moreshwar Kulkar and convenor Rajesh Bharuka were present.

The convention started by hoisting the flag. Initially, governor Vivek Abhyankar read the annual report, he mentioned several projects implemented last year despite Corona pandemic. Dr Naval Malu mentioned that various permanent projects are being implemented while the needy have been provided various benefits and services by the Indian members. Dr Malu also distributed various medals announced by the International President, on the occasion.

The procedure for selecting the new body for the New Year 2021-22 was held online under the guidance of Tansukh Zambad. Dilip Modi of Nanded has been appointed as the government, Purushottam Jaipuriya from Jalna as the first vice governor and Sunil Desarda of Aurangabad as the second vice governor.

Dilip Modi in his acceptance speech said, Pandemic is a challenge but we will work for the welfare of the society and will gain more membership. He announced the slogan for the year 2021-22 ‘ Lionism Dil Mein’.

Governor Vivek Abhyankar, former governor Mahavir Patni, Rajesh Raut, Tansukh Zambad, Sandeep Malu and others congratulated the newly appointed office bearers.

The fourth convention was scheduled at Pune and 550 members had registered for it. However, due to the Corona crisis, it was postponed for a month and later it was decided to conduct it online. Under the guidance of Vivek Abhyankar and leadership of Rajesh Bharuka, the committee prepared for the convention and 2348 members registered for it. Abhyankar mentioned that this a record in the country.

District secretary Rahul Ausekar took review of the entire year and prizes were distributed to the members and clubs for their excellent work. Kalyan Waghmare conducted the proceedings of the function while Jitendra Mahajan proposed a vote of thanks. Rajesh Bharuka, Rahul Ausekar, Vishal Ladnia, Ashish Agrawal, Rajesh Jadhav, Ramesh Pokarna, Prakash Gothi, Mandar Date, Milind Damodare, Sanjeev Gupta, Dr Pritesh Sonar and others efforts for the success of the convention.
