Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Cidco MIDC police station has registered an offence against a driver on a charge of cheating his landlord and disappearing with cash of Rs 7 lakh. The name of the suspect driver is Namdeo Govind Jadhav (41, Jaibhavaninagar).

It may be noted that the industrialist stays in N-1 Cidco and runs a packaging industry in Shendra. On July 16, a 55-year-old woman gave the cash to the driver saying to give it to his son in the company at Shendra. The family got worried when Namdeo failed to reach the company within the expected time. He was also not available on the phone as well. Hence the family accused the driver of absconding with the money. The police have registered an offence of cheating against the driver and police are searching for him, said the police inspector Gautam Patare.
