Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: "With the city’s industrial estates like Shendra and AURIC seeing an investment of Rs 1 lakh crore, through the efforts of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, OBC Welfare Minister Atul Save and all industrial associations, there is going to be tremendous industrial growth. But for that, a medium of communication is needed in a language that everyone can understand. Lokmat Times (LT) will be the best media to communicate this growth and development to all," said Mayor Sameer Rajurkar.
He was speaking at the 11 Startups Felicitation and Lifetime Achievement Award presentation ceremony organised at Lokmat Bhavan on Saturday evening as part of the 39th anniversary celebration of Lokmat Times.
Rajurkar said that the Lokmat Group of Newspapers took root, flourished, and grew like a banyan tree in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, the capital of Marathwada.
"Lokmat Times, started 39 years ago by Rajendra Darda, deserves great credit for his foresight, and its need has never been greater than now, given the immense investment flowing into the city's industrial estates," he said.
Since not everyone involved in this industrial growth speaks Marathi, he noted that English is an effective medium.
"If a person comes here from Kerala and gets to read Lokmat Times, they will be able to understand the city and everything happening in it. This is how Rajendra Darda's vision is now being proven right," he asserted.
Rajurkar added that local governance matters, whether related to the Municipal Corporation or other administrative affairs, would be covered in LT and reach all newly growing industrial areas, making it easy for newcomers to understand the city.
"There are many other newspapers, but LT has a deep connection to this city and its happenings, making it a natural pillar of support in the times ahead," he said.

Lokmat Times, Your Time Starts Now
"Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Municipal Corporation is in a period of transformation. When LT stands alongside the administration during this phase, the problems arising from new industrialisation can also reach us through it. I want to say — 'Lokmat Times, Your Time Starts Now.'"
