Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, the municipal corporation is constructing around 11,200 houses at four locations. Online applications were invited, and 5,162 applicants were found valid after scrutiny. As demand exceeds availability at some sites, a lucky draw will be conducted by the end of February or in the first week of March.
Housing projects are underway at Tisgaon, Padegaon, Sundarwadi and Harsul. The 322.70 sq ft units are priced between Rs 9.5 lakh and Rs 12 lakh. The highest demand has been recorded for projects at Padegaon (504 units) and Harsul (762 units), while Sundarwadi has 3,288 units and Tisgaon around 6,500 units across two projects.
The civic body has appointed Probity Software Company to conduct the draw through dedicated software, which is being technically audited by IIT Powai. The draw will be held after receiving the audit report, said deputy municipal commissioner Aparna Thete.
