Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Marking International Dance Day, Mahagami Gurukul will organise a special programme titled ‘Nritya Vichar Vinimay’ on April 29 at 6.30 pm at Rukmini auditorium, MGM campus. The day, recognised by UNESCO, is observed to encourage dialogue between art and society through dance.

Celebrating its 29th year, the Gurukul has been hosting such events since 1997. This year’s concept focuses on understanding dance beyond performance as a medium of thought, expression and cultural exchange. The programme will include interactive dance discussions, Kathak and Odissi presentations by students, and sessions on teaching methodologies and the impact of dance on learners.

The 2026 edition of ‘Agradīpa’, highlighting recent Sharngadeva Samaroh events across three cities, will also be released. The programme is open to all.

This information was shared by Director, Mahagami Gurukul, Parwati Dutta.
