Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Malabar Gold and Diamonds, one of India's largest gold and diamond retail chains, distributed scholarships in a programme organised at Tapadiya Natyamandir recently as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative. A total of 155 girl students were awarded scholarships at the event.

Deelip Swami (District Collector), Ashwini Latkar (Education Officer, Zilla Parisahd) Thamiz (Malabar Gold Showroom, Head), Vikas Pawar (Assistant Manager) and Shaikh Imran (Senior Marketing Executive) were the chief guests.

Teachers, students, from government and aided junior colleges and Malabar Gold and Diamonds members were also present. Based on merit, 155 girl students were identified and scholarships ranging from Rs 8,000 to Rs 10,000 per student were distributed, with a total amount of Rs 12.58.

As part of its CSR, Malabar Gold contributes 5% of its profits towards charitable and philanthropic initiatives. The group's key CSR focus areas include housing assistance, medical aid, environmental protection, women's empowerment, and education.
