Man arrested for filming woman without consent

Vedantnagar police arrested a youth for allegedly filming a woman in a nude state without her consent while she was asleep at her residence.

Police said the incident occurred after midnight on May 6. Due to the summer heat, the woman was sleeping unclothed inside her house when the accused, her relative, allegedly bent the window grill and recorded a video on his mobile phone. Following the incident, the woman lodged a complaint at the Vedantnagar police station. A case of outraging modesty has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
