Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A procession was taken out on Sunday night in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar to mark the birth anniversary of Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Maharaj, with slogans of “Man changa to kathoti mein Ganga” and “Sant Ravidas Shakti Amar Rahe” echoing across Kranti Chowk. The event was organised by the Sant Shiromani Guru Ravidas Central Jayanti Festival Committee.

The procession moved from Kranti Chowk to Aurangpura and Mahatma Phule Statue Chowk, featuring two decorated vehicles carrying portraits of Sant Ravidas Maharaj. MLA Narayan Kuche and MLC Sanjay Kenekar flagged off the procession. Corporator Nandlal Gawli, committee president Chandrakant Gore, Subhash Borode, Suresh Gawli, women’s president Asha Barsavne and other community members were present. A demand was raised for land to build a Sant Ravidas Bhavan in the city.
