Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A man illegally entered the Shri Vitthal-Rukmini Temple in Pandharpur Waluj around 2.30 am on Thursday and climbed onto its spire, causing panic. When the watchman tried to stop him, he threw stones and scaled the sanctum using chains while shouting. Alerted temple authorities informed the police, and officers led by Bhagatsingh Ghunavat safely brought him down. Local residents, including former Sarpanch Sheikh Akhtarbhai and Panchayat members, helped maintain order. Thanks to swift police action, the temple remained unharmed, and the intruder was taken into custody for further legal proceedings.
