Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

A man, Raju Jirekar of Bhatnagar, Dattamandir, Naregaon, was killed early Sunday when an unidentified vehicle struck him near the Sawangi Interchange on the Samruddhi Expressway.

According to Phulambri Police, around 3.45 am, citizens reported a person lying on the road near Channel No. 421. Police rushed to the spot and found him dead. Preliminary investigation indicates a vehicle collision as the cause. His identity was confirmed via an Aadhaar card found in his pocket. The body was moved to government medical college and Hospital(GMCH), Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. A case has been registered against the unknown driver, and further investigation is ongoing.
