Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A 65-year-old man Vitthal Kashinath Padul passed away at Aurangpur in Ladsawngi village of the district on Thursday, the day on which his son was to get married.

Vitthal Padul's son was to get married to a village girl at 1 pm, on Thursday.

A ceremony and rituals were held on Wednesday night to apply turmeric to his son. The family went to sleep late at night because of this.

Vitthal who wakes up at 5 am every day. However, did not wake up even at 6 am today. So, we tried to wake him up. When he was unresponsive, we shifted him to a private hospital in the city.

The doctor of the hospital examined him and declared him dead. The village is in mourning as the groom's father passed away on the day of his son's wedding. He is survived by his wife, 2 sons, and 3 daughters. His funeral procession was taken out at 1 pm. However, the son's wedding was arranged before the funeral.
