Aurangabad, Dec 28:

The Cidco police have booked a man for raping a woman with the false promise to gain a teacher’s job to her. The incident occurred on November 14. The accused has been identified as Mehboob Ibrahim Shaikh (Shirur, Beed).

The victim is a resident of Aurangabad and she has completed B.A, D.Ed education but was unemployed. She used to take tuition of the students in her locality. On November 10, while she was in search of a space for conducting the tuition classes, she met the accused Mehboob. He asked her about her education and told her that he can get a job to her at Mumbai. After that they met on two to three occasin. On November 14, he told the victim that they have to go to Mumbai and told her to come at Jalna Road. He came there in a car and took her to a deserted place in Cidco area. He raped the victim there threatening to kill her when she tried to resist, the victim mentioned in her complaint. Two days back, she told about the incident to her aunt and then a complainant was lodged against Mehboob Shaikh at the Cidco police station. PSI, Ashlesha Patil is further investigating the case.
