Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

After taking possession of a car, a man allegedly sold it to a third person without the owner’s consent, cheating a youth of Rs 2.80 lakh. A case was registered on February 5 at the Pundliknagar police station against Gaju Singal, Akshay Gore and Vikram Salunkhe.

Rahul Sulane, (Nalniwadi in Bhokardan), had sold his car to Gaju Singal for Rs 3.50 lakh in September 2025 through village resident Ramesh Singal, who acted as an intermediary. Rahul received Rs 70,000 in cash as an advance, after which Gaju avoided paying the remaining amount. When Rahul repeatedly demanded the balance Rs 2.80 lakh, Gaju informed him that he had sold the car to Akshay Gore without Rahul’s permission. The remaining amount was never paid. After realising that he had been cheated, Rahul lodged a complaint with the Pundliknagar police, who are investigating the case.
