Aurangabad, Nov 26:

Jinsi police arrested the thief stealing Rs 12,000 of an old man, going to deposit the amount in the bank, within 24 hours of the incident.

The arrested has been identified as Arbaaz Shaikh Ahmed Shaikh (27, Sanjaynagar). Police said, a senior citizen Radhakishan Vitthal Kharat (60, Kailasnagar) recently sold his auto-rickshaw. He received some amount of this transaction. On November 25, he was going to the Central Bank to deposit Rs 12,000 in his account. On the Kailasnagar Road, an unidentified person came near him. He snatched the amount from his pocket and fled away from the scene. Kharat screamed for help but the thief had escaped until then. He then lodged a complaint at the Jinsi police station. During investigation, it was found that Arbaaz has stolen the amount. The police arrested him and during interrogation, he confessed to the theft.
