Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Karmad police have registered a case after alleged tampering with district names on a Maharashtra state map painted on the wall of a Zilla Parishad school at Gade Jalgaon village.

The complaint was lodged on recently. According to police, the incident occurred earlier that morning, before 10.30 am, when the accused allegedly altered the names of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Ahilyanagar districts on the map displayed on the school wall. The act is alleged to have hurt religious sentiments. The accused have been identified as Ayan Muktar, Farhan Patel and Abuzar all residents of Gade Jalgaon along with one unidentified person. The incident site is located around 7 km east of Karmad police station. No arrests have been made so far, and further investigation is underway.
