Only the Maratha community in Marathwada is deprived of reservation. We did not get justice even after holding 58 rallies, nor the killers of the Kopardi victim got punished, and also the reservation was suspended. Against this backdrop, a Maha Aikya Parishad will be organized on October 8 in Aurangabad, said the Maratha Kranti Morcha in a press conference here on Friday.

Giving more information, professor Chandrakant Bharat and Dr Shivanand Bhanuse said that the Maratha community in Vidarbha, Khandesh Nashik and Western Maharashtra is in OBC. The reservation was denied to the Maratha community in Marathwada after the merger of the Hyderabad state. Now that the economic condition of the society is deplorable, we have been demanding reservation for 25 to 30 years. The community organized 58 Maratha Kranti mute rallies for reservation and other demands. But we got only half justice only because the Supreme Court granted an interim stay on SEBC''s reservation. A student of Beed district of Maratha community committed suicide. An appeal was made to the government to take immediate steps to stop such practices. In order to intensify the struggle of the Maratha community, a request is made to the leaders working in various political parties to put aside their political differences and participate in the Maha Aikya Parishad on October 8. Abhijeet Deshmukh, Suresh Wakde, Ramesh Gaikwad, Satish Vetal, Sukanya Bhosale, adv Rekha Vahtule and others were present.
