Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The Winchester International English School celebrated Marathi Language Pride Day with great enthusiasm, paying tribute to the richness and legacy of the Marathi language and in honour of the renowned Marathi poet, playwright, and novelist Kusumagraj (Vishnu Vaman Shirwadkar).

The programme began with a prayer followed by thought presentation, garlanding ceremony, and inauguration of the wall magazine showcasing students’ creativity. A Lezim dance performance by primary and pre-primary students added traditional charm to the celebration. Prize distribution was held for boxing, Olympiad competitions, and various academic achievements. Principal Dr Afsar Khan emphasized the importance of preserving regional languages while nurturing cultural values.
