A married woman, Salma Shaikh, endured persistent harassment, verbal abuse, and physical assault from her in-laws, leading to a police complaint at Waluj MIDC Police Station. The case names her husband Husonoddin Shaikh, mother-in-law Bano Shaikh, father-in-law Monoddin Shaikh, brother-in-law Sarfuddin Shaikh, co-wife Nargis Shaikh, and other family members including children.
