Aurangabad, June 7:
Media Educators Association of Maharashtra (MEAM), a State-level union of journalism and research field teachers, was set up.
The election was held after an online meeting of the teachers held recently. Dr Sudhir Bhatkar, the head of Mass Communication and Journalism Department of Kavayitri Bahinabai Chaudhari North Maharashtra University was elected its president while Dr Ravindra Chincholi, the head of Mass Communication Department of Punyashlok Ahilyadevi Holkar Solapur University, is executive president.
Teachers from Jalna, Mumbai, Aurangabad, Solapur, Nashik, Amravati, Pune, Kolhapur, Wardha were present. The other office-bearers of the association is as follows; Dr Sundar Rajdeep (vice-president), Dr Vinod Nitale (secretary), Dr Shahed Shaikh (joint-secretary), Dr Rohit Kasbe (treasurer), Dr Kumbar Bobde, Dr Sanjay Tambat, Dr Shivaji Jadhav, Dr Moiz Haq and Dr Suhas Pathak (executive committee member).
