Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Efforts are underway to reduce the gap in water supply so that citizens do not have to face water scarcity during the summer. A meeting will be held on Thursday, under the chairmanship of mayor Sameer Rajurkar. It is expected that the water supply section will present concrete measures to reduce the gap. At present, the city is receiving water once every eight to ten days. Citizens have demanded that water be supplied uniformly every four to five days.

The mayor reviewed the water supply situation last week. During the meeting, he instructed officials to focus on solutions rather than reasons. Currently, the city is receiving 140 to 145 MLD of water. In Chikalthana and nearby colonies, residents are receiving water on the tenth or even twelfth day. As summer has begun and complaints about water shortages have already started, discussions are ongoing on how to manage the available water effectively. Officials from the water supply section will submit their report tomorrow.
