Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:
A mega cleanliness drive will be undertaken at Ellora on the occasion of Mahashivratri at the Grishneshwar Temple, considered one of the twelve Jyotirlingas. District collector Deelip Swami reviewed the preparations during an online meeting on Wednesday.
The cleanliness drive will be carried out on February 13 from 8 am to 12 noon. The areas identified for cleaning include MTDC parking to Arihant Chowk, Arihant Chowk to the ST Corporation plot opposite Kamal Hotel, the Yelganga river area, Yelganga river to the talathi office, talathi office to Tirthkund, Tirthkund to Bhosle Chowk, Bhosle Chowk to Ashok Hotel, and Bhosle Chowk to Crown Hotel.
The responsibility for the drive has been assigned to 285 personnel, including block development officers from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Khuldabad, Gangapur and Kannad tehsils, with specific zones allocated for effective implementation.
