The response for the family planning programme is very less. Out of the total target only 11 percent target of sterilization was achieved in the past nine months. Only three male vasectomy were conducted in the district through the district health officer in the rural health centres while only in the district civil surgeon through the rural hospital in the district. Moreover, not a single surgery was conducted in the municipal corporation jurisdiction. However, the female sterilization surgeries are more in the urban areas.
