Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The city and surrounding areas felt the cold as the minimum temperature dropped by seven degrees overnight on Thursday. It recorded the highest temperature of this summer on March 3.
The maximum temperature was recorded at 35.6 degrees Celsius today while the minimum temperature was recorded at 12.4 degrees Celsius. The maximum temperature was 34.4 degrees Celsius on Wednesday and the minimum temperature was 19.4 degrees Celsius.
There was a sudden coolness in the air on Wednesday evening. After that, the cold was felt from midnight. The maximum and minimum temperatures have been increasing more or less for the past three days.
The weather is hot during the day and cold at night. The citizens have to face both weather conditions because of this.
The weather department has predicted that the temperature will remain between 35 and 37 degrees Celsius in the first 15 days of March. A further increase in temperature is possible by the end of March.
Meanwhile, Sunil Nikalje, a Weather Assistant at Chikalthana Weather Centre said that the mercury dropped on Wednesday and Thursday in the city due to the cold winds coming from West Bengal affecting the atmosphere in the city.
