The maximum temperature in the city and surrounding areas was recorded at 34.6 degrees celsius on Sunday, while the minimum temperature stood at 21.4 degrees celsius. The onset of this year’s summer has begun to be felt, with Sunday recording the highest temperature for February so far.

The Meteorological Department has noted a rise in both maximum and minimum temperatures in the last week of February. Weather experts have predicted that temperatures may rise further in the first week of March. Since February 1, both maximum and minimum temperatures have been gradually increasing. On that day, the maximum temperature was 30 degrees celsius, while the minimum temperature was 15.8 degrees Celsius. In the span of 21 days, the maximum temperature has increased by 4.6 degrees celsius and the minimum temperature by 5.6 degrees celsius. On February 15, the maximum temperature was 33.4 degrees celsius and the minimum temperature was 17.1 degrees celsius. As a result, a mixed weather pattern of hot days and cool nights was experienced over the past week. However, the rise in temperature on February 22 led to humid conditions.

On February 22, 2025, the maximum temperature in the city and surrounding areas was recorded at 35.7 degrees celsius, while the minimum temperature was 17 degrees celsius. Although the maximum temperature is lower compared to last year, the minimum temperature has increased. Weather experts believe that temperatures may rise further this year compared to last year.
