MGM nursing students take oath of patient care

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

The oath-taking ceremony of students from MGM institute of nursing education, Mother teresa college of nursing and college of nursing, Gandheli, was held at Rukmini auditorium in the presence of dignitaries.

Chief guest municipal officer of health, Dr Paras Mandlecha attended the programme along with MGM vice-president Dr P M Jadhav, secretary Ankushrao Kadam, dean Dr Rajendra Bohra, associate dean Dr Pravin Suryavanshi, project director Dr Prerna Dalvi, principals Dr Satishchandra Boite, Dr Vidyarani Umanman and Kamaljit Kaur, faculty members and students.

Addressing the gathering, Dr Paras Mandlecha said, “nursing is not just a profession but a noble service. Students must work with honesty, dedication and a strong sense of responsibility, as one’s true identity is shaped through committed patient care.”

MGM vice-president Dr P M Jadhav spoke about the institution’s emphasis on quality education and the overall development of students, while dean Dr Rajendra Bohra described the ceremony as a significant milestone in the nursing students’ journey.

Students took the Florence nightingale oath after lamp lighting, administered by vice-principal Dr Amarja Gosavi. Annual reports were presented and meritorious students were felicitated during the programme.
