Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

MIDC has issued notices to 243 plot holders in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Jalna, and Beed who have not started industrial operations on their allotted land. The notices warn that plots will be reclaimed if factories are not commenced.

While demand for industrial plots is high, zones like Auric’s Shendra and Bidkin DMIC have no plots left, prompting the government to acquire an additional 8,000 acres. Some plot holders invest without starting production, completing minimal construction and selling for profit. MIDC requires plot holders to complete construction, obtain certificates, and start operations to generate employment.

15-day response notice

A recent survey showed 243 holders have completed 40% construction but not started factories. They have been given 15 days to explain why their plots should not be reclaimed.

"Where a 40% construction certificate is issued, it is the plot holder’s responsibility to start the factory. Despite this, 243 plot holders have not commenced production, so notices have been issued." - Amit Bhamre, Regional Officer, MIDC
