Aurangabad, May 20:

The members of the Marathwada Association of Small Scale Industries and Agriculture (MASSIA) along with the executive engineer MIDC inspected the work to be done for carrying out the rain water from Chikalthana MIDC and avoid water logging on main roads.

Every year, the industries in Chikalthana MIDC have to face tremendous inconvenience during monsoon as rain water gets accumulated in the premises water in every monsoon and so the industries there had to suffer. MASSIA and industrialists had several times demanded the MIDC administration to carry out work of cleaning drains and removing encroachments and obstacles to maintain the natural flow of the nullah. Hence a team of MIDC inspected the work to be done for avoiding accumulation of rain water in the industrial area. On Thursday, Massia secretary Bhagwan Raut, MIDC executive engineer Bhushan Harshe, director R J engineering Anil Uberhande visited Naregaon Chowk, Kalagram road, C and H Sector, road in front of Punam biscuit, Wockhardt Research Center road and SBI bank road and performed inspection. The executive engineer promised to clean the drains in the area where rain water is likely to accumulate and remove the encroachments in some places and make arrangements to avoid water logging on main roads within eight days.
