Aurangabad, Oct 15:

About 740 industries in the private gut numbers in Waluj area are dependent on tanker or bore water. Entrepreneurs have demanded that Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) should supply water to these industries. The MIDC officials said that they would consider the demand if a proper proposal is made.

Due to non-availability of industrial plots in Waluj area, 740 small scale entrepreneurs have started industries in private land in Ranjangaon, Jogeshwari, Sajapur, Karodi, Vitawa, Ghanegaon, Waluj and Wadgaon- Kolhati. Entrepreneurs here have to spend a lot every month for water for daily use.

Industrialists Arjun Adamane, Suresh Phulare, Bharat Phulare, Bhausaheb Modke, Guddu Vijayvargiya and others met the officials and demanded that MIDC should supply water to industries in private gut numbers. MIDC executive engineer, Bhushan Harshe, said that the entrepreneurs need to submit a proposal to MIDC on how much water will be required for these industries. Proposals will be forwarded to the senior office. Once approved, water supply will be given to these industries.
