MLA Prashant Bamb has demanded an inquiry into alleged malpractices in gas distribution across industrial and market-linked villages, citing overcharging, delays, and irregular supply by agencies.

In a letter submitted on Monday to the district supply officer at the Collector’s Office, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Bamb highlighted multiple complaints from citizens in his constituency. He noted that despite a mandated 21-day refill period, consumers are often forced to wait up to 45 days.

He also flagged instances of agencies demanding extra money and a lack of transparency in distribution, leading to public dissatisfaction. Bamb has urged authorities to conduct a thorough probe, ensure timely supply as per rules, and initiate strict and criminal action against erring agencies.
