Chhatrapati Sambhajinaga: After being appointed as a member of the State Legislative Council, BJP MLC Sanjay Kenekar was welcomed with jubilation in the city on Saturday evening. His welcome procession began with paying homage to the statue of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj at Kranti Chowk.

He was welcomed with a big garland on the procession route. His cut-outs were displayed in many places. As soon as Kenekar arrived in the city, the activists welcomed him with the drums and cymbals. His supporters and friends let off firecrackers as part of the celebration.

The activists celebrated by spraying pink, green and blue colours on the procession route. MLC Sanjay Kenekar along with his wife Vaishali Kenekar, OBC Welfare Minister Atul Save, MP Dr Bhagwat Karad, MLA Pradeep Jaiswal, BJP City President Shirish Boralkar, Anil Makariye, Sanjay Khambayate and others were present in the chariot.

Rameshwar Bhadve, Vishal Gangavane, Sameer Rajurkar, Shivaji Dandge, Deepak Dhakne, Neeraj Borse, Billu Chavaria, former corporators Aga Khan, Yusuf Khan and others were present. A large number of Katharwani community members participated in the event. After the Maha Aarti at Hanuman temple in Gulmandi, the welcome procession of MLC Kenekar concluded amidst great celebrations.
