Aurangabad, July 18:

The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) activists on Sunday morning cut the water connection of the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation (AMC) administrator, demanding to regularize the city water supply. However, it was later found that the connection cut by the activist was not to the bungalow of the administrator but used for the garden in the premises. Meanwhile, the City Chowk police have booked six activists in this regard.

The city water supply schedule has been disrupted for the past many years. There are no plans for water supply with the corporation. Ten days back, the MNS activists in a press conference had indicated that the water supply to the bungalow of the AMC administration will be cut, if the water supply is not regularized. However, the AMC had not taken any action in this regard.

The MNS activists cut the pipeline going to the bungalow of the administrator at the Delhi Gate area on Sunday morning. They erected a banner and went away. MNS district organiser Bipin Naik, Vaibhav Mitkar, and others had organised the agitation. It was found that the water from the cut pipeline was used for the garden in the bungalow and not in the bungalow. This connection was taken from a well, but it was not used for the past two years. The City Chowk police have booked six agitators.
