Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

Villagers, angry over not getting free alcohol, vandalized a hotel and assaulted the owner, even slashing his face with a knife. The incident occurred on April 4 at 9 pm in Ohar, Jatwada.

The accused have been identified as Arjun Rathod (32), Sandeep Rathod (33), and Yogesh Rathod (27), all residents of Rahalpatti Tanda. A case has been registered against them at Harsul police station. The victim, Vinod Chavan (31, Jatwada), was working at his hotel when the accused requested liquor on credit. Chavan refused, angering them. They assaulted him with their hands, threw stones to break the hotel’s glass, and smashed beer and liquor bottles. When Chavan tried to stop them, Sandeep stabbed him in the face with a knife, causing serious injuries to his cheek and eye. The Harsul police are investigating the case further.
