Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: A mobile phone and electronic items shop was gutted in a fire that broke out at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Chowk in Ladsaungi village of the district on Sunday morning.

Keshav Padul owns the shop which caught fire at 9 am today due to a short circuit suddenly. The shop was closed at that time.

A smoke was coming out from the shop. Ravindra Padul and Deepak Ture broke the lock of the shutter but, the fire had taken on a fiery form.

The fire was doused by discontinuing the power supply. However, mobile phones and electronic items worth about Rs 2 lakh turned to ashes.

A large number of people gathered as the fire broke out at the busy Chowk.
