The municipal fire department has inducted 15 modern vehicles, with an expenditure of Rs 24 crore. Since the existing fire tenders of the municipal corporation were old, follow-ups for new vehicles had been ongoing for the past few years. Executive engineer of the mechanical department, Amol Kulkarni, stated that all vehicles are equipped with modern facilities including foam, first aid kits, and jacks. The fleet includes two large fire tenders of 8,500 liters, six fire tenders of 5,500 liters, and two fire tenders of 2,000 liters. In addition, there are two foam tenders, one rescue van, and two quick response vans.
