The State Common Entrance Test Cell will release vacancy for first Mop-Up round-I for MBBS and BDS courses on December 21.

The admission process for the health science courses began in the first week of the current month. As per the letter issued by the Directorate General of Health Services of the State, the cut-off date of MBBS course for the academic year 2020-21 is December 31 while for BDS, it is January 15, 2021.

The vacancies for the first Mop-Up round will be declared at 12 noon, on December 21 while the selection list will be displayed at 8 pm on the same day. The selected candidates will have to join the college between December 22 to 25. The last date for filling ‘Status Retention’ form is December 25. The candidates who were admitted to medical the course and wish to cancel it can do it on or before December 25.

Any candidate responsible for lapse of MBBS seat will have to pay non-refundable a penalty of Rs 10 lakh. This penalty is applicable to all those candidates who do not join during last round or cancel a seat after last round of admission.

Suppose a candidate is upgraded during any round from private to Government college (for MBBS). In that case, there will be no penalty clause applicable to him or her for cancellation of seat.
