Motorcycle–bus accident leaves motorcyclist seriously injured

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

A motorcyclist crossing the road on the Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar–Jalna highway was seriously injured after being hit forcefully by a bus travelling towards Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The injured rider has been identified as Karbhari Baba Shaikh (50, Roshan­gaon, Badnapur tehsil, Jalna district). The accident occurred at around 11 am on Wednesday near the Jalna Road Ganpati Temple at Karmad.

The motorcycle (MH 21 AG 3707), which was heading towards Karmad after crossing the road from a petrol pump, was struck by a bus (MH 14 LX 8831) coming from the direction of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Due to the impact, the motorcyclist was thrown a considerable distance, and the motorcycle was dragged under the bus and completely crushed. The bus also mounted the road divider.

Karbhari Shaikh sustained serious injuries in the accident and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. His condition is reported to be critical. The incident has been registered at Karmad Police Station, and head constables Prashant Nandave and Vijaysingh Jarwal are conducting further investigation.
