Aurangabad, Feb 7:

One person died while other seriously injured as an unidentified vehicle dashed their motorcycle near Limbgaon Phata on Pachod – Paithan Road on Sunday at around 5.30 pm. The police were trying to trace the identity of the deceased till late evening.

Narayanrao Bhand (48, Wadji) had gone to the weekly market at Pachod on his motorcycle on Sunday. While returning, an unidentified person asked him for lift. Meanwhile, his motorcycle was dashed by an unidentified vehicles near Limbgaon Phata. The unidentified pillion rider died on the spot while Bhand was seriously injured. Both of them were lying in the pool of blood for almost half an hour. Later, Pachod police rushed to the spot and took both of them to the Pachod rural hospital.

Medical officer, Dr Sandipan Kale declared the unknown person dead after examination while Bhand has been shifted to Aurangabad for further treatment. A case has registered at the Pachod police station while API Atul Yerme is further investigating the case.
