Aurangabad, Dec 5:

MP Imtiaz Jaleel today underlined that irregularity of valuing Rs 50 crore had taken place in Mathadi Board in the past one decade. The office-bearers of the board had exploited the labourers working at goods yard (Mal Dhakka) of various railway stations in the district.

While addressing a press conference, the MP alleged, " The so-called Mathadi Kamgar Board, Labour Office and PF Office are involved in the exploitation of 8,000 Mathadis. The board deducts 30 per cent levy, 12 pc as PF contribution, 8.33 pc as bonus share, one pc as insurance money, six per cent levy as administrative expense etc. from the earnings of each labourer."

He continued, " The audit of the board is not done. In addition, deductions of these Mathadi labourers are kept as fixed deposits in different banks by the board''s members. Few political leaders obtained crores of rupees loan, based on this deposit. If any labourer demands his money, his voice is suppressed. The board had also terminated many of them. If one labourer has four persons as dependents in his family, then the matter is dearer to the lives of 40,000 to 50,000 persons."

" The PF money has not been deposited in the Provident Fund office. The PF officials were not having any reply when inquired about the rightful money of these labourers. An irregularity of Rs 50 crore had taken place in the Mathadi Board during last 8-10 years," he claimed.

Activists Moosa Chaus, Milind Pande, Rajendra Dhondiba, Shaikh Shahed and others were also present during the press briefing.
