Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

On the occasion of the birth anniversary of B. R. Ambedkar, maintenance and repair work was carried out on Sunday by Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) along the route of the main procession to be held on April 14.

A few days ago, officials from MSEDCL, along with police and administrative authorities, had inspected the stretch from Gopal T-point to Bhadkal Gate. Based on instructions from the administration, necessary work was undertaken. As a precautionary measure, overhead power lines near the ACB office on Old Bazaar Road and near the main post office were removed and replaced with underground cables. Additionally, the height of hanging cables and service wires was increased at several points between City Chowk Police Station and Bhadkal Gate.

The work was promptly carried out under the supervision of additional executive engineer Rajendra Rathod, assistant engineer Deepak Sakhale, Natha Jadhav, and their team.

Engineers and staff deployed

To ensure the smooth conduct of the procession on April 14, MSEDCL has deployed four engineers and 20 field staff (Janmitras) along the route from Kranti Chowk to Bhadkal Gate.
