Aurangabad, Jan 28:

MSEDCL officials on Monday raided a company in Railway station MIDC for stealing electricity from the low voltage power lines. A case was registered against the industrialist for stealing 20,115 units in a span of two years.

According to information, the accused entrepreneur has been identified as Subhashchandra Ratanlal Jain. Jain owns a company called Marathwada Spun Pipe Co-operative Ltd at the railway station MIDC. On January 25, a team from Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited suddenly raided his company and checked the power supply of various equipment. During inspection, it was revealed that the company was operating six motor water pumps by stealing electricity from the low-pressure line. MSEDCL official Yogesh Valmik Jadhav lodged a complaint against the accused Jain at the Chawni police station. According to his complaint, the company has stolen about 20,115 units of electricity in the last two years.
