Municipal commissioner inspects water supply scheme throughout the day

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar:

Municipal commissioner Amol Yedge on Tuesday closely inspected the new water supply scheme throughout the day. He reviewed each work. He pointed out several works having technical defects. He also instructed officials of Maharashtra Jeevan Pradhikaran and GVPR company to increase manpower to complete the scheme work quickly.

The inspection tour began at 10:30 am. Chief engineer Manisha Palande, executive engineer Dipendra Korate, GVPR company manager Mahendra Gogulothu, PMC and municipal officials A.B. Deshmukh, M.B. Kazi and others were present. He inspected the jackwell work at Jayakwadi dam. He reviewed the main pipeline, scroll valve and Nakshatrawadi water purification centre. The work of chairs under the pipeline is complete. Pointing this out, the commissioner ordered early completion of the work. He also directed to start the remaining works of water tanks built at various places in the city, their connections and distribution system.

Bring leak detection machine

Commissioner Yedge instructed the contractor company to bring a leak detection machine to inspect the main pipeline and internal pipelines in the city. He further reviewed the scheme at the water purification centre at Nakshatrawadi. He also said that water should be brought to the treatment plant soon and testing of purification should be done with proper technical methods.
