Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

The first day of IndiGo’s night flight service, shifted to Navi Mumbai airport, witnessed a limited response on Sunday. Only 43 passengers arrived from Navi Mumbai, while 69 departed from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The change of airport has triggered dissatisfaction among passengers, raising questions about the service’s sustainability.

IndiGo’s Mumbai–Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar–Mumbai night service has been operating from Navi Mumbai airport since March 29. Earlier, it operated from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport in Mumbai. The shift was implemented under the summer schedule, leaving only one morning flight to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport. The impact of the change was evident on the very first day. Passengers now require additional time to reach Mumbai city and its suburbs. Travel from Navi Mumbai airport to the city takes at least two hours by road, causing inconvenience.
