Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar

While the Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) comprising Uddhav Sena, Congress, Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, and Sharad Pawar’s NCP announced their alliance and seat distribution, Uddhav Sena has fielded more candidates than agreed, causing disruption.

For the Zilla Parishad and Panchayat Samiti elections, Uddhav Sena was allotted 25 seats, Congress 19, Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi 6, and NCP 6. However, Uddhav Sena has fielded 36 candidates, affecting the alliance arrangement. Yogesh Ban, district observer of Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi, said Uddhav Sena leader Ambadas Danve has exceeded the agreed numbers, which is not in line with alliance principles. Efforts to contact him on Thursday were unsuccessful as his phone was off. Congress district president Kiran Dongavkar said they will wait until the nomination withdrawal deadline before taking further steps.
