Aurangabad, July 16:

The state's Medical Education minister and Congress's contact minister of the district, Amit Deshmukh today underlined that there is no danger to Maha Vikas Aghadi-led government. It is safe and stable. Besides, each party has the right to expand itself, therefore, it is not good to take out another meaning on party expansion.

Deshmukh was speaking to media persons on the collectorate campus after the party office-bearers submitted a memorandum to the district collector to register their protest against the hike in prices of fuel and essential commodities, on Friday.

Earlier, the minister led a bicycle rally from the Mahatma Gandhi's statue in Shahgunj. He and the party's other office-bearers rode bicycles, in the rally, till the collector office. Meanwhile, party's two activists Syed Akram and Khalid Pathan, by holding tri-colour in their hands, participated in the rally by sitting on a camel. The response to the rally was not as expected. There were fewer bicycles and more four-wheelers. It is learnt that considering the ongoing heavy rainfall in Mumbai, it was uncertain whether Deshmukh may come or not, but the minister arrived in the city and hence the rally was planned.

Deshmukh alleged, " The Central Government has burdened the pocket of common man by increasing prices of petrol-diesel and essential commodities. Considering the public disappointment, it is apparent that there will be Congress government in 2024."

Referring to the meeting of Chaggan Bhujbal and Devendra Fadnavis in connection with OBC's

political reservation, Deshmukh said, " It is good, and let us hope for a positive outcome."

The rally was participated by District Congress president Kalyan Kale, rally coordinator Dr. Jitendra Dehade, City Congress president Hisham Osmani, Mohit Jadhav, Dr. Nilesh Ambewadikar, Muzaffar Khan Pathan, Gaurav Jaiswal, and many party office-bearers and activists.
