Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: The Department of Botany Maulana Azad College of Dr Rafiq Zakaria Campus and Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar Marathwa University jointly held a one-day national conference on "Conservation and Propagation of Plant Wealth by Organic and Natural Pathways."

Convener of this conference was Dr Rafiuddin Naser, Dr Harshadep Sartape and Dr Uzma Qadri were also present. A Management Council member of Bamu Dr Kashinath Deodhar, Dr Arvind Dhabe (head Department of Botany-Bamu) and Milind Sardesai (Pune) were the guest of honour.

In a presidential address, Principal Dr Mazhar Farooqi said that our cooperation is always ready for the guidance of all researchers. The dignitaries also guided the students.

The inaugural meeting began with the recitation of Holy Quran with Marathi translation by Dr Harshdeep Sartpe. Dr Ashfaque Khan conducted proceedings while Dr Shaikh Tarannum Tanveer presented a vote of thanks. Vice Principal Dr Arif Pathan, Dr Syed Atharuddin Quadri, Dr Madhuri Sahastarbuddhe Dr K T Jadhav also graced the event.
