Aurangabad, Jan 3:

If the candidates selected in the EWS category for the post of Technician-3 in the Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (Mahagenco) have less marks than the candidates of Maratha community selected from the SEBC category, then they should not be given appointment, ordered Justice Ravindra Ghuge and Justice Vibha Kankanwadi of the Aurangabad bench of Bombay High Court.

Yogesh Anna Jadhav had filed a petition through adv Vishal Kadam. During the hearing, adv A M Gaikwad representing Mahagenco said, As the document verification has been completed before the Maratha reservation was postponed and the appointment process is over, the petitioners do not have the right to change the category, so the adjournment should not be granted. Government pleader Dnyaneshwar Kale said the government has passed a ruling on December 23 for the candidates who are eligible for EWS reservation. The court granted protection to the petitioners and said that there was no objection to appointing other EWS candidates subject to the outcome of Nitin Muske''s petition in Mumbai. Adv Sumit Kulkarni and adv Snehal Jadhav also represented the petitioner.
