The contractor must ensure top-quality work on the statue of Lokshahir Anna Bhau Sathe, warned Guardian Minister Sanjay Shirsat. "No compromise will be tolerated. The work should be done so well that the entire area is recognized by Anna Bhau's name," he stated during the groundbreaking ceremony for the statue’s beautification on Sunday.

The ceremony, held near the district collector’s office, was led by Ministers Sanjay Shirsat and Atul Save. Several dignitaries, including municipal commissioner G. Shreekant, former mayor Nandkumar Ghodele, Vikas Jain, Rajendra Janjal and others attended the event. Ministers also welcomed Abhishek Thokal, who recently returned from London University with a degree. MLA Pradeep Jaiswal had earlier requested Rs 2 crore from then-CM Eknath Shinde for the project. Former Guardian Minister Sandipan Bhumre had sanctioned the funds through DPC (District Planning Committee). However, Shirsat stressed that this is a social project, and no corruption will be tolerated. "Anna Bhau’s wrath is real," he said, recalling a leader who embezzled Sathe Corporation funds and was jailed for six years. Minister Atul Save assured that an auditorium in Anna Bhau Sathe’s name would soon be built, urging people to embrace his ideology.
